A total of 215 Bhajan Mandalis participated in the sammelan in Kadiri, Anantapur Dist. A total of 5,115 people participated in the sammelan which was graced by H H Paripoornananda Saraswathy.

18 Bhajan Mandalis from 18 villages participated at the Sri Kodanda Ramswamy Temple Allagadda. Most of the Bhajan Mandalis had women as majority members and the Sammelan started at 6:00 Pm and carried on into the night with a deep devotional singing. Each Bhajan was a melody in itself and the bhajans were never ending melodies that went on. Paschim andhra Saha Seva Pramukh Sri Keshavji, Vibhag Seva Pramukh Sri Radha Krishna lead the sammelan of over 350 bhajan mandali members with spiritual guidance.

Kilometres of roads had been washed away. Many bridges, houses, water lines, canals, check dams, electricity lines, power houses and other public and private property had been severely damaged.Kedarnath which is the worst affected has 60 villages washed away in the flood fury is awaiting relief and rescue.

A building with open space which was donated to Seva Bharathi by late Karavadi Shankar rao garu's family members at Bankcolony, Ramakrishnapuram, Neredmet,Secunderabad wasinaugurated by Sri. S.Harikrishna, Zonal Commissioner, GHMC ,North Zone on18-08-2013 at 11.00 AM. Free homeo Clinic inaugurated by Dr, Kishan, Superindent, Govt. Homeo Hospital, Ramanthapur.
Dr.Janardhan , President Seva bharathi, Western Andhra Pradesh has  briefed on ongoing seva projects.  Sri Patya Venkateswar rao garu,president RSS Westren Andhra Pradeseh. was the chief speaker.  Vastalya sindhu boys and Kishori Vikasa Girls performed cultural Programmes.  About 300 guests participated. Lunch followed the program.

During Dasara puja this year  Sevabarathi has entered in to one more service activity..The details are as follows.



 Divine life Society (Sivananda Ashramam) Secunderabad has constructed one Double storied Building in the premises of Gandhi Hospital  as Shelter home for the attendants of In-patients in Gandhi General Hospital.(Till now there is no shelter for the attendants and they were forced to stay by road side).The President Pujya Swamy Styavratananda and the secretary Dr. Kasireddy ji have approached Seva Bharathi for managing this shelter home.We have accepted the offer and deputed  three full timers for  round the clock operations.We are of the opinion that this will be the first step for serving the needy persons and also to expand and diversify  our activities.Hall at ground floor and first floor can accommodate around 250 persons (for sleeping).There are 6 toilets and 6 Bathrooms. Cleaning will be arranged by Hospital management.We hope that all of you will extend your cooperation to Vibagh Team for making this a success.

56 units of blood has been given to Basakatarakam cancer institute, blood being provided for the cancer patients.
More than 70 members came to donate but we rejected the remaining because of less hemoglobin content in the blood.

 Eye camp

Sevabharathi in association with Pushpagiri Eye Institute and Bharateeya Vikas Parishad held Eye Camps at various govt schools. The details are as follows:

Totally 12 Camps were held in the govt schools from 21-10-2013 to 5-11-2013.

More than 7000 students had gone under the Eye screening test and 320 students are needed the spectacles. 
Vana Vihara Yatra

Vivekananda Vruthi Vidhya Kendra, Kukatpally and Kishori vikas had been to vana vihara yatra, a place called Vattimukkala forest, Narsapur on 16th nov-2013.

Study material distribution

To encourage the poor and needy students, sevabharathi in association with 'Friends from Deloitte' organisation(Members: Chandra hasan, Vijay kiran and Prasanna) has distributed the study materials for 32 SSC students of Kukatpally govt school on 21st nov-2013. 

Shivananda Ashrama

As we all aware, Sevabharathi successfully running the Ashrama at Gandi Hospital with more than 80 patients daily. 
Ashrama's aim is to help the poor and needy who came from the rural areas. The number is increaning day by day.

Recently few donors have donated 150 Mats and 126 Blankets. We need your help to move forward.

Yoga Classes @ Charlapally Central Jail

We are very happy to inform you that we have taken up a new project of Yoga,Meditation,counselling and Moral teachings classes for Cherlapally ashram persons (Prisoners).

We have obtained permission from DIG prisons for carrying out these classes on every Sunday for three Hours till 31.10.2014.

The inaugural function was held in the ashram meditation hall and was attended by over 300 ashram persons (Prisoners) besides around 30 officials of the prison

Swamyji of Saidhamam ashram,near Keesara came and blessed the function.

The Stage was shared by Sri Petya Venkateswar Rao Garu, RSS Pranta Sanghchalak, Dr.Gouda Janardhan garu, Pranta President Seva Bharathi and Sri Srinivas Rao garu, Charlapally Jail Superintendent besides Swamyji..

A 10 member team who will be visiting the jail for conducting the above classes weekly from next week for one year was also announced which will be coordinated by Sri. Buddhavaram Prabhakar.

Monthly Vibhag Varga @ Neredmet office

We heve been running Abhyasikas (study centers) in our Vibhag. Our volunteers will take the classes in seva bastis(slums) for the students of 1 to 10th class everyday. In this Varga we will train the Volunteers to take up the classes in a efficient manner. Training session for the volunteers will be every 2nd sunday of the month.

Gnanatrushna Granthalaya(Library)

We have taken up a another new project of Library at Sevebharathi office @ Old Safilguda. 

In our houses we come across old books that are not in use.. If you find so please intimate us, we take up an initiative and collect those books from your houses. The old Books being given to the Poor and needy students of seva bastis.

Education


Educating the destitute boys and girls, particularly those belonging to the SC and ST and other down trodden groups is a major area of focus. Seva Bharathi has started schools in slum areas and in remote villages for the benefit of the poor. In addition to the general syllabus, value based activities are introduced and the children are trained mentally, physically and culturally, leading to holistic development of the child and nation building.

Abhyasikas(Study Centers):

Seva Bharathi conducts study classes to teach Maths, Science and English for the students of 6th to 10th standard. With the effort of dedicated Volunteers the study centers are showing better results. 


Affection Homes



Seva Bharathi run orphanages and affection homes aim to take care of the destitute boys and girls and help them shape into independent, socially aware and educated individuals. These centers have caretakers who bestow children with motherly care.

Chenchu sammelan: Bhakta Kannappa Gurukulam

On the eve of the 150 years of Swamy vivekananda Sewa bharathi has organuised a Chenchu sammelan under the aegis of Bhakta Kannappa Gurukulam a project dedicated to the Primitive tribal group.

A parent teacher meeting was attended by 47 parents
A total of 180 Chenchus participated and shared their experiences which concluded in a Public function.

Help Desk @ Gandhi Hospital : Assisting the poor and needy patients by providing Volunteers at Gandhi Hospital to enable them to meet the concerned medical personnel and get help. And also our volunteers will council the patients every day from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Bharat Mata Pooja : Every year we perform Bharat Mata Pooja on the auspicious day of Republic day at all the Abhyasikas by involving all the students and their parents. This time, Mananeeya Peta Venkatesh Ji and Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi Secretary, Sai Baba Ji addressed the students of Amaal Basti on importance of worshipping Bharat Mata as our Mother and distributed the books and other stationary material to students by Sai Baba garu.

Shivananda Shelter Home : Seva Bharathi runs shelter home at Gandhi Hospital with more than 100 members 
(Patients family) per day with good infrastructure for the accommodation and round the clock volunteering facility is available to the needy. 

Vrutti Vidya Kendra: It is a platform where we teach about Stitching, Handloom work, Self confidence to the Womens and we guide them to perform in a efficient manner.

Goshala : Indians believe cow as their Mother because it gives everything as that of our Mother. Sevabharathi runs Goshala at Somaram(Medchal) with 25 cows of Indian Breed. We are planning to conduct training sessions for the villagers to know about the importance of cow products and their use in daily life.

Vatsalya Sindhu Awasam : It is a Hostel for Destitute Boys, Moulali of KG to 10th class. Presentrunning with 43 Boys who are pursuing their schooling in Saraswati Sishumandir School which encourages in study as well as in Desh Bhakti.

Mobile Medical Van : Seva Bharathi runs mobile Medical Van in association with BharatiyaVikasParishad which covering slums and Schools. It helps the poor who have been suffering with various health problems and not in a position to the treatment.

Blood Donors Club : We can get back anything except our life. We come across people who comes from rural areas for treatment and searching for Blood week long to save their family members in Hyd. We have taken an initiative to help them by starting blood donors club, round the clock facility available. Currently we have 2500 donors list, we are planning to increase it to 10,000.

Yoga classes @ Cherlapally Central Jail : We are very happy to inform you that we have taken up a new project of Yoga, Meditation, counselling and Moral teachings classes for Charlapally ashram persons (Prisoners).

Yoga Center : We also runs Yoga center at our Sevabharathi office, Neredmet to teach the importance of Yoga and Surya Namaskar’s in our daily Life.

Spectacles drive :  We had conducted Eye screening camps at 12 govt schools recently and identified 320 students who are suffering from eye problems and we helped them by providing spectacles.
