Complete report of the #SwachchBharat by #Sewabharati at Gandhi Hospital
Sevabharathi on the suggestion from Gandhi Medical Collage Global Alumni ,has decided on 26-09-2014, to take up the Cleaning of Gandhi Hospital and Gandhi Medical College on 2-10-014.Due to Festival and Governor's visit to Hospital on 02-10-2014,we have rescheduled the programe .
We have met the Hospital Superintendent Dr.Ashok Kumar and College principal Dr.Srilatha and discussed about the program.They have informed us to take up the program, but due to Junior doctors & Medical Students strike they may not be able to involve fully in the program.
We have taken the challenge and continued our efforts for the program.
We have sent SMS's, Emails and WATSUP messages to the persons known to us.We have also kept the information in Facebook. We have also informed some colleges in the area and requested them to send their students for this program.
Initially we have excepted about 100 volunteers but day day the volunteers accepted to participate in the program increased and by 16-10-014 evening the figure of 500 volunteers was finalized.
We had a series meetings with some of organizations on the modalities of the program.We went round the entire area of the Hospital and Medical college and identified 72 areas.We have (made 14 groups) clubbed 4-6 areas and entrusted the work to one coordinator who went round the area allotted to him and tools required and informed the stores person on 17th.We have purchased the tools and cleaning equipment and kept ready by early morning of 18 th.
We have ordered/ arranged Lunch, breakfast, tea, coffee and Biscuits for 500 persons initially.
We had a meeting with Hospital RMO's and Health Contractor on 17th.They have also taken the responsibility and distributed the work .
on 18 th. morning by 7 am we have identified 72 group leaders .After the breakfast we have started allotting the registered volunteers to all the 72 areas @ 10 persons per each group initially and based on work/ requirement allotted the extra persons in the group later on.
By 12.00 Noon the registered number of persons were 1138.
Swamyji from Ramakrishna Math, Swamy Satyavrathananda of Sivananda Ashram blessed the Volunteers.
The VIP's participated include Sri .S.Harikrishna,additional commissioner GHMC, K. Laxman and Srinivas Yadav MLA's , Dr.Ashok Kumar ,Superintendent of Hospital and Dr.Srilatha ,Principal of Medical Collage.
We have engaged 3 (DCM) trucks for shifting the Garbage from work place to Dumping yard. Total 18 truck loads of Garbage was shifted to dump yard.
Trees planted around the Sivananda Shelter Home by some VIP's.
All the Volunteers dispersed after taking Lunch.
8 Full timers worked round the clock for last three days.
Two unidentified dead bodies were observed and handed over to Hospital Authorities.
Two persons from Volunteers have responded to request for blood donation from patients and instantly donated Blood.

Medical camp held at #vatsalyasindhu #Sewabharati by Dr M S Acharya Memorial Trust
M.S. Achraya Mmorial Trust has conducted a medical camp at Vastlya sindhu on 16.11.2014.
Sri Siva Saranappa Garu, Secundrabad Vibagh Karyavaha was the Chief Guest
Dr. M.S.Acharya Memorial Trust conducted a Free Medical Check-up Programme on 16th November, 2014 at the Vatsalyasindhu Home For Destitute Boys, Moula-Ali, Hyderabad.
This camp was specially conducted for the residents of the home. It houses more than 50 boys ranging from an age group of 5 years to 15 years. The camp had General, Dental and Eye check-ups. All three check-up were done on all the 50 inmates of the house and the 8 staff & care takers. 8 Spectacles were prescribed to children which will be provided free of cost to them.
A lot of multi vitamin and common medicines were given free to children. Few children with specific problems were referred to specialists. The trust will work with the home’s management to ensure proper treatment gets done to the children. Doctors who participated in the camp: General Physician : Dr. K.S.N.
